  1. Both Antigone and Ismene exhibit a reasonable degree of determination because Antigone wants to bury her brother's body, while Ismene is determined to also take the blame for Antigone's crime. In the text, Antigone states, "Make all the excuses you want, Ismene but I'm off to bury my dear brother's body!". Also in the text, Ismene states, "Let me die with you, Antigone and let me pay my debt to our dead brother". Both of these statements from the text lets us know that the two sisters are displaying a reasonable amount of determination in what they believe in.

  3. Antigone and Ismene are determined, because Antigone is set in burying her brother polynieces even if it ment she had to break the law, and Ismene is insistent on following the law of creon which ment not burying her brother. Antigone says in the passage "You can believe what you want but I shall go and bury Him/My death will be sweet once I bury him." Also in the passage Ismene states"Antigone, are you thinking of burying polynieces? it is against the will of our country, the will of our king,Antigone!". Each of these statements shows us the determination of both of the sisters towards what the believe in.

  4. Antigone and Ismene both show a reasonable degree of determination because Antigone is determine to bury her brother and Ismene is determine to Follow the Kingdoms Law. Antigone says " Ismene, help this hand to lift our brother's corpse!...." Ismene says "Are you really going to bury our brother against the King's wishes?...." This shows that Antigone is a savage and would Honor and would risk her life for her brother's death while Ismene rejects Antigone's wishes and avoids trouble by following the Kings rules.
