actually can work both ways. We control our own decisions that make the moves our lives take so we control our destiny (where we live and the choices we make) in that kind of situation but we do not control the elements so we can decide to live a good life until we are old and work towards that but we can't control the earthquake that just happened or the bomb that the other country just dropped on our land. If we get caught in a situation like that then our destiny will change us. It may change us emotionally, physically or mentally and can also change our location of existence and also make it impossible to live that long good life the way we had decided.

Some people do control the direction of their lives only if they take their steps carefully. Sometimes our outside forces determines our destiny this statement is also very true only because of the saying "Life is like a box of chocolate you never know what you're gonna get", not knowing what's coming next lets the outside forces control what we do, any specific happening can change our lives in one blink. Humans face obstacles everyday also peer pressure and other sorts, forces can concour anybody but only if you let it, don't let the outside forces determine your destiny, you determine the outside forces and take control of your destiny.
We are the owners of our lives. The choices we make shape the direction of our life. The environment we live in has an impact on those choices, indirectly affecting the path we choose to follow in life, but does not decide our destiny. Destiny is not written for us,but written by us. We play a large role in how we decide to live our lifes and change the outcome, sometimes life brings things down but its all up to ones self to fix it and change our destiny.

One might agree with the reason of self control of our lives as well as outside forces being an impact in our lives. One may agree that everybody has the right to make their own choices based on the beliefs and feelings. They are independent and civiled to realized that they do whatever they want to do. On the other hand, one might also agree that forces outside of our control determine our destiny, people let other people control them based on peer pressure or other reasons but either way there might be consequences. Depending on the environment or community around can determine your destiny, people let it get in their hoping it helps the succeed but actually sometimes it actually brings them down.
Both things affect out destiny. Unfortunately, mostly outside factors such as money, haters, and different circumstances determine most people's destiny. Not to mention the goverment, most of our life desicions are pre determined.
to me destiney is already laid out. From the begining of time what ever happens is going to occur. God is the reason some people have great things occur as well as test when times get rough. To me life is something that cannot be predicted. In the end your destiny is in gods hands allow it to play out and when times get hard remember what doesnt kill you makes you stronger its up to you to see your destiny all the way out

Let's say someone decides to rob a bank, he chose to do that but if he gets away with it or not is his destiny he isn't guaranteed that the choice he made will not or will not come with consequences and forethore more he wouldn't be able to choose his consequences. They'll be givin to him by someone else which he has no control over.
One controls their own life, yet outside forces do interfere. Always doing the right thing doesn't mean your life will be perfect; Even a saint experiences misfortunes. Being the villian doesn't necessarily mean losing either. We just have to go through life and hope our actions' consequences or our destiny is in our favor.
We can control our actions and our reactions but we can’t control what happens around us or the people that may walk in and out of our lives. At the end, what you’re surrounding by and your past experiences might determine your future as lessons learned. However only you can decide at the end of the day how you want to control your life.
